Yesterday we fought in the league war. Was a good test to see our military influence, which revealed to be good, but not good enough. Not surprising though, as I could bet some of the players can't even locate Iceland on a map
Iceland appears to be an averagely strong country, we ended up in 25th position out of 40 countries winning two out of five matches.
But those are just numbers, and we need to read them carefully.
Iceland has the highest total damage in between countries that won two matches. We dealt more damage than Moldova and Kosovo (3/5 wins); Albania, Greece and UK (4/5 wins).
Possible Causes Of Our Poor Performance
Lack of coordination.
Is totally understeandable, we are players that joined a country but clearly we are not from there in RL. I'm italian for example, and I joined randomly Iceland after receiving the email from the game, but I was more than one year not playing E-Sim anymore.
So distributing our damage in between some matches might have helped us winning an entire battle, or maybe just some minibattle, that would have helped us climbing the chart.
We won 8-1 against Estonia that ended up in 18th position just because they won 4 minibattles more than us!
Within the game going on, if MU and a solid governement installs in this country, we could achieve some relevant military successes. I just hope that we won't reduce to have a country governed by few people playing their own game.

We faced Poland and Romania, two countries that won all five matches. Facing a weaker country of course would have mean different story!
Battles In Details
Battle 1: Iceland vs Sweden 8:0
With a total domination, Iceland kicked Sweden's arse by winning every single match. We dealt four times more damage than our enemies, kickstarting our tournament with a great winning!
Battle 2: Iceland vs Romania 3:8
First hard test for the country, we ended up being defeated by one of the strongest newborn countries. Romania did roughly 1 million damage in total, 200k more than us. A well distributed damage allowed them to win this match pretty easily.
Positive point is that we manage to win 3 small battles against one of the strongest nations of the game, they finished 4th in the general ranking by winning all battles.
Battle 3: Iceland vs Poland 0:8
After Romania, we faced another of the strongest countries. Althought some of the minibattles were lost by a few, we completely lost as expexted. The poor total damage on both sides awarded Poland, that dealt 300k more than us.
Battle 4: Iceland vs Estonia 8:1
This was a well played match. Of course, since we are at the beginning, supplies and energy are not granted. There's no serious MU, welfare or anything. So the damage drops drastically and the ongoing battle is decided by singles. We did just 160k more damage than our enemies, but it was enough to win easily against them.
Battle 5: Iceland vs Lithuania 1:8
Last battle where we have been hardly defeated. Our damage went down, dealing less than 300k. A better structured Lithuania kept is damage up to the half million, there was no chance of success.
Looking Forward to Iceland Future
First and most important thing: DON'T TAKE THIS STATS SERIOUSLY.
The game just started, stats are poor and not reliable! We might have a bunch of players that did 200 fake accounts and our population will drop drastically in the next weeks, or we can have lots of people quitting. As for the other countries, they could organize and own us totally, or we could just become leader of Nortern Europe!

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
